My CO2
Awareness tool allowing participants to calculate their carbon footprint and identify concrete actions to reduce it.
Key scientific facts
The workshop is based on scientifically validated calculation tools, based on the recommendations of the IPCC and the International Energy Agency. It shows that to achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement, it is necessary to reduce global emissions by 45% by 2030. Participants also learn that the average carbon footprint of a French person is around 10 tonnes of CO2 per year, well above the limits necessary to preserve the climate.
Process and duration
The workshop lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours. It begins with an individual diagnosis of the participants' carbon footprint using a calculator. Then, a collective reflection begins to understand the levers for action available in different sectors of daily life. The workshop ends with the development of a personalized action plan adapted to each person's constraints, to gradually reduce their CO2 emissions.
What is it about ?
The MyCO2 Workshop is a workshop that helps each participant to accurately assess their carbon footprint using a personalized calculator. The workshop then offers concrete ways to reduce their footprint in different areas (mobility, food, housing, etc.), in order to achieve objectives aligned with planetary limits.
Why is it essential ?
Understanding your own carbon impact is the first step towards implementing concrete actions. This workshop allows everyone to become aware of their ecological footprint and to see how their daily choices affect the climate. The precise calculation and tools offered by MyCO2 are essential to support participants in an ecological transition consistent with current climate issues.
