Pluxee: Carbon Footprint & SBTi Climate Strategy

Financial services
2025

Context

Support Pluxee in consolidating its carbon strategy as part of its reporting requirements (GHG Protocol, EcoVadis) and credibility expectations toward stakeholders. Pluxee already had a carbon footprint in place and an SBTi-approved reduction trajectory.

Objectives

Secure a robust carbon footprint aligned with recognized standards, validate the ambition and coherence of the SBTi trajectory, and obtain a market-recognized certification while reinforcing the credibility of the approach and preparing it for external communication.

Intervention

Step 1

Carbon footprint assessment

  • Critical review and challenge of existing data (Scopes 1, 2, 3) and calculation methodology
  • Alignment with the GHG Protocol and EcoVadis minimal requirements
  • A consolidated GHG inventory and an EcoVadis-ready reporting package, including calculation notes and data sources

Step 2

Strategic validation of the carbon trajectory

  • Critical review of the SBTi-approved trajectory and targets
  • Benchmark of ambition level and reduction pace against sector-specific SBTi guidance

Step 3

Certification for market recognition

  • Coordination of a third-party verification with an accredited verifier (Vinçotte)
  • Alignment with key frameworks: ISO 14064/14001, EcoVadis, GHG Protocol
  • Preparation of the documentation and evidence required to secure the label

Results

  • A reliable, compliant carbon footprint, ready for EcoVadis submission.
  • A certification process launched with an accredited third party to differentiate the brand.

Key takeways

Beyond calculation, the challenge was to validate and certify an already-established carbon footprint. By securing compliance and consolidating the SBTi trajectory, Pluxee reinforces the robustness and credibility of its climate reporting in the eyes of its stakeholders.
