About this webinar
Recorded on 8 September 2026, this webinar opens the Antifragile Talks, a series of five free webinars by Bleen on adaptation and resilience, run with CERAC, Belgium’s climate risk assessment centre. The session is in French.
This first session is about health. CERAC presents:
- the Belgian Climate Risk Assessment (BCRA), its method and the 28 risks it identifies;
- risks to physical and mental health, what they mean for healthcare systems and how urgent they are;
- their effect on social inequalities;
- how prepared Belgium is, and the main ways to make it more resilient.
Jean-François Pinet then explains how the municipality of Ixelles is adapting to these risks.
Speakers
- Loïc Gillerot: climate and health expert at CERAC, Belgium’s climate risk assessment centre, and postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University. Presentation of the Belgian Climate Risk Assessment (BCRA).
- Jean-François Pinet: municipality of Ixelles. How the municipality is adapting to these risks.
