The Workshop
Consumption Fresco is an educational workshop created by Imagreen that helps participants understand the connections between economic models, consumer behavior, and environmental and social impacts. Through interactive gameplay, this workshop engages strategic and operational functions within organizations to explore how consumption patterns are shaped and what alternative approaches might look like. The workshop creates space for collective reflection on the relationship between individual choices, market systems, and sustainability.

Consumption patterns in developed economies create profound environmental and social impacts throughout product lifecycles - from raw material extraction through manufacturing, distribution, use, and disposal. Understanding these impacts is essential for building awareness of how personal choices connect to global systems and for identifying leverage points for change. This workshop is vital for developing the consciousness and collective will needed to transition toward consumption patterns that respect both environmental boundaries and human dignity.
Good to Know
Each manufactured good carries environmental and social impacts throughout its complete lifecycle. Raw material extraction involves difficult working conditions and resource depletion; manufacturing includes poor working conditions, low wages, and hazardous workplaces; and disposal creates pollution and waste. The workshop addresses this complexity by helping participants understand how economic models shape consumer behavior and how consumption patterns influence environmental degradation.
