The Workshop
This workshop opens up the key parts of ESG governance (environmental, social, governance): corporate responsibility, regulatory frameworks, sustainability reporting, extra-financial risk management, stakeholder relations, and the place of sustainability criteria in strategic decisions. Participants link the cards to see how a company's ESG policy is built and what it means for the organisation and its stakeholders.
Why It Matters
ESG is often seen as a matter for experts or a box-ticking exercise, even though it involves major strategic choices: investment, risk management, reputation, access to capital, regulatory obligations. The workshop makes these topics accessible so that everyone, from employees to managers to citizens, can form an informed opinion and grasp what ESG governance is really about as the rules and the economy change.
Good to Know
The content draws on public and institutional sources: regulatory texts such as the CSRD, standards from bodies specialising in sustainability reporting, and publications from research institutes and international organisations. It stays general and educational on purpose, and does not go into the technical detail of a specific reporting standard or sector-specific compliance. It is aimed at the general public, employees, students and professionals who are not ESG specialists.
What to Expect
Working in groups of 4 to 16, participants link the cards through cause and effect to reconstruct the logic of ESG governance, then move to a creative phase. The workshop ends with a debrief on how ESG issues are seen inside organisations and on ways to get involved and take action.
