The Workshop
Sexism Fresco is a pedagogical and collaborative workshop inspired by the Climate Fresk that helps participants understand how gender stereotypes and sexist mechanisms persist in society. Through a participatory approach using concept cards, groups of 4-8 participants co-construct an understanding of the systemic nature of sexism, from its root causes through to its consequences, while identifying practical fields of action and solutions for promoting gender equality.
Why It Matters
Sexism and gender inequality persist as systemic challenges affecting organizations and society broadly. Understanding the mechanisms that perpetuate these inequalities - including stereotypes, institutional practices, and cultural norms - is essential for dismantling them. This workshop is crucial for developing the awareness and collective capacity needed to create genuinely inclusive cultures where men and women have equal opportunities and voice.
